 Churches must rely heavily
upon volunteers in order to operate. However, many people have a
hard time finding where they can serve. At GNG, we work with a
concept called First Serve. First Serve is a way to remove
barriers by helping people discover more about their gifts, interests
and skills as they serve. It is a low-risk,
no-obligation way to try our hand at a particular serving area.
It is also a way for those already serving, to try other serving
opportunities.
At a First Serve, you work with people that are already connected in the
ministry area you are interested in. They will show you how things
operate and allow you to get your hands dirty. After the 1-2 hour
commitment, you are done, no strings attached. If you enjoyed
working in that area, we will work at getting you involved. If you
didn't like the ministry area, simply walk away with no-obligation.
